About Theo Meiners Snow Safety Foundation

The Theo Meiners Snow Safety Foundation (TMSSF) is a Wyoming nonprofit created to further Theo Meiners’ commitment to avalanche education, safety and study.  An exemplary guide passionate about skiing back country and big mountains, Theo’s devout adherence to avalanche education and protocol kept many snow recreationists safe and his enthusiasm resonated with thousands of others.

TMSSF aims to continue Theo’s legacy by conducting avalanche awareness education programs for students in mountain community middle schools, starting in Jackson, Wyoming, and for the general public, in addition to providing mentoring and resources to snow professionals.  TMSSF’s goal, as was Theo’s, is make every back country trip a round trip.   “Never stop learning, never stop training, and the mountains will become your kingdom.”

Theo Meiners Snow Safety Foundation is a  Federal IRC 501(c)(3) public charity.
